I have a 2021 Z71 Trail Boss with a leveling kit and wanting to know what’s the larger size tire I can put on my truck.

I just saw a ready lift kit that ran 37 x 13s! I imagine there was cutting involved, but it looks badass.

With some minor modifications you can run 35x12.5 on a stock Trail Boss. So with a lift 37s would be totally doable.

2019 TB custom,I am on Cooper 35x12.5x20 (TB stock copy wheels). 1.5 inch Rough Country leveling and 2/3 of the front flaps cut (all 3 mounting screws unaffected). I do get rub fully turned in reverse.

Did you remove the fender liner bracket?

Zone off-road front kit

Set to 1.75 lift
Method 18x9 -12 backspacing
Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.5
Full mudflap and bracket removal
Pulled fender liners back for more clearance
Still rubs at full lock

I have Bilstein 6112/5160 setup on order (for 4 months now🙄) I will report back when they come

Do you think that if you have would have went with 17x9 or 17x8.5 you would have a rubbing issue still? And where are you still rubbing even after the trimming?

This guy discovered that running 35 inch tires on his Trail Boss seriously overheated his transmission. You may find that switching to tires of that size will also require re-gearing your final drive. It depends on what your current gearing is. His was geared with a 3.42 rear end. Mine is also a 3.42 for the stock 32 inch 265/70R20 tires.

I looked up my 6.2 and it has a 3.23 rear end...
I'm wondering If its really his tires... ? not sure its all that different from towing ? off topic but my last 5.3 with 6 speed after its tranny service overheated after that... two dealerships' couldn't figure it out ... it had a 3.23 rear as well... wrong fluid ? there are three different type fluids with any of these combinations hmmmm....
I'm commenting on this as I am in the process of picking out a 4 inch lift and wasn't really considering the rear end up till now, none of the articles mention anyone swapping gears like the old days for example...

In the “old” days the trucks came with really small tires and transmissions with
2-3 or 4 gears. Adding big tires really affected the ratios.
Going from 32” to 35” tires ( about 8% increase in circumference) on a truck with plenty of HP / TQ and 10 gears, shouldn’t be a problem.
