Looking to replace the stock chrome lugs on our 2022 Trail Boss with some black chrome ones any suggestions ?
Thanks
Darren

I got mine from the GM Parts counter. They gave me a deal on them, MSRP is pretty high otherwise.

This is what they look like, came with locking lugs.

I was thinking about going with Gorilla OEM style lugs since the GM ones are around 300+

I'm another one of those that got the GM ones with the wheel locks. Iirc, about $250 shipped, but that was 3 years ago. If you do a Google shopping search of the GM part number you might be able to find a good deal. That's how I find most of my stuff.

That's what I have been doing as well as searching eBay. It seems like the coating on the GM ones would outlast the PVD coating on the aftermarket ones too.

I don't know anything about PVD coatings and aftermarket lug nuts. If that's anything like the black coatings on metal valve stem caps you buy off Amazon then it definitely won't last as long as the GM lug nuts finish. That only lasts a few months, but the black GM lug nuts have been all over the country and seem all types of weather and terrain and only the edges are just now starting to shine.

I just looked up the price on GM Accessories and they're $325 without the wheel locks. Did a Google shopping search and came up with this for $230 and it has the locks.

Damn, for that price think how many of the $35 or less sets from ebay you can buy!

Purchased mine from Amazon. Took my time putting them on with a coated socket. Looked good until the dealer serviced the truck and now they are beat to hell. I’ll be looking for something powder coated.

Whet did you find a nonmarring socket? Our lug nuts are 22mm. The largest nonmarring socket I've found is 21mm.

At least 7 sets. Based on how quickly the black finish dissappears from the cheap stuff you'd be buying 7 more in 3 years just to ensure you have black lugnuts. Given that I'm rolling into year 4 and my lugnuts are still black I'll say that buying once and crying once has paid for itself.

I bought a couple after market sets but the finish comes off and they start to rust after a short time. I found a brand new set of Chevy OEM with the locking lugs on Ebay for $138.

The locking lugs I got with my GM OEM set are not the same coating as the regular lugs. The lockers started to rust the first time they saw road salt.
