Lower dash inserts

Hey y’all!

This cover popped into the lower dash and I can’t see for the life of me how to pop it back in. Or to remove the bottom dash section. Please help.

Line it up and push it back in till it clicks. It is keyed so it will only fit in one orientation.

It actually has to be pushed from the inside, its too big to click in from the outside. I watched a video yesterday of someone putting a trailer brake in that spot and you have to remove most of the dash, all the trim and everything to access that area. So today I bought a suction cup hook at Home Depot and used that to pull it back into position. You have to push the piece inside the dash and then get the suction cup attached and it clicked right into place.

Yeah goes in from the inside. I have options for that.

That’s using the ole noggin. Good idea.

Totally different than the right side space. That one you can pop out from the front. I have a trailer brake controller so I thought that panel plug was the same there.
