I am looking at making a winter set of wheels and tires on a budget. I can get a set of machined finish aftermarket wheels for cheap but want to see what machined wheels would look like before I buy these.

Can you post your pictures if you have machined finished wheels.

here is a machined KMC

This is a SILVER painted KMC, i wanted the polished, but they did not offer them at the time...

Visions? They have a black tinted clear over the machined part. They're more of a smoked machined than a true bright brushed aluminum finish.

Dang! I'd be all over them for that price as long as they weren't beat up!

How long would a set of factory TB wheels last in Wisconsin? And still look good?

Black painted ones are easy to touch up with gloss black paint. Machined OEM with clear get ate up from salt within a few years if you don't keep them super clean. Rock chips and such on the clear allow salt to corrode the aluminum underneath and make them look even worse. I stripped and repainted a set of S10 wheels that were pretty ugly to start. A few years after I redid them, the paint was chipping off again. Salt sucks!!!

My stock wheels are 9/10 condition but they are almost 4 years old. No salt damage at all. Could be because I wash my truck weekly.

I would still run them in the winter but my BFG's are losing its wet traction. They are fine in summer but am worried about this winter. Leaning toward the Falken AT4W.

One wheel has a little light curb marks. Other three are near perfect. I just love a black wheel and I am undecided if I want a machined rim. I want my truck looking good year round. Plus they are 1.5 hours away.

2019+ Dodge 1500 rims will fit Silverados as well. There's a set in my local Craigslist for $200 for the 20" black 5 spokes.

Picking up the wheels tomorrow!!

Also checking with the local dealer on availablity of 285/70/18 Falken AT4W. They are load range C. And they have a buy 3 get 1 for $1 sale till the end of the month.
