Is there anyone who has used this MBRP pipe on their rig? If so, did it actually involve removing the flapper? Mine is a single flapper on the inlet end and I would prefer to remove it than clamp it open. As you can see in this Phastek listing, they claim it eliminates the valve although installation pics show it still on there. MBRP site says nothing about it eliminating the valve, just that is fits single valve systems. Thanks!

I have the Magnaflow pipe on my 6.2 and it wasn't intended to remove the front flapper, only the rear on models that have both. Mine only had the front. I cut it close as I could to both ends of the muffler and I wound up cutting the flapper out of the pipe since the pipe wasn't quite long enough to fit if I cut the flapper and pipe together. There was enough play in the stock exhaust to make up the little difference I needed.

I have a 19 TB custom 5.3 I did the AFE pipe and left the flapper(locked open/-only has 1) cutting close to the muffler. Recmmended in instructions and ensures enough pipe to mount to without welding

Leave the flapper-it Will cut down on the drone around 1500-1800 rpms.

I don't find any drone people complain about. It sounds like a beefy V8 should sound now. You decide if you want this thing choking up your exhaust pipe.
