Mirror phone on dash "wireless" carplay?

sorry if this has been asked but i tried to search and cant seem to find what i need. Has anyone been able to mirror their iphone on to their head unit on the new systems that use wireless carplay? everything im finding online states that it can only work on the older wired carplay systems.

I’m not sure if this is the question you are asking, but mine will only do that if I have my phone plugged in via USB/lightning. My truck (2022 LT limited) was not optioned with wireless carplay, that was maybe in a plus package or technology package?

Is this what you talking about? Mine works just fine with Wireless Apple Car Play. I have 22 Refresh

I have a 22 refresh and have no issues with wireless CarPlay. Works like a champ.

I think the original poster is talking about a true mirror/cast…like can you play a Netflix or YouTube video on that big-ass screen? You used to be able to do that and other stuff on the 14-19 Chevys with some modifications…I know of nothing on these new ones.

The problem I have had with the wireless Apple Car play is when I want to use the maps I like to see my truck on the map with the "turn right in 100 yrds, or at next light, exit 22, etc." instructions in the header. I do not like the text directions that simply give you directions and then the voice instructions read the directions to you. I couldn't find a setting on the truck or the phone that was switching it to text driving directions. Anyone know how to change this setting so I can reconnect Apple Car play.

ok so i ended up purchasing the magic box 2.0 and it does work on the 22 and newer models. Their website needs updating as it says that your vehicle cant have wireless car play. Mine does and it all works. The device needs some improvement but it does what it says it does. I was able to get youtube and netflix to work. I have not had a chance to really test out what it can do and see what other apps will work with it. They also gave me a 20% disc code. I am thinking of checking out the elite brand as that is also getting good reviews.
