Saw this today in my area. Not a Trail Boss but not a base work truck either.
It looks like a classic Bait n Switch. "Sorry sir. We sold it 5 min ago but we have this nice Silverado High Country for only $84,550” :p

I’ve read/seen this as well. GM shutdown a plant for 2 weeks as they try to control what they consider an abundance of inventory. (Crazy considering wait times for new orders) Other manufacturers are supposedly doing the same so they don’t overproduce while inflation is high and less people can afford/want to afford new vehicles.

I think I saw something like they used to keep a 90-120 day supply of inventory and now they want it closer to 60. Those numbers might not be exact but an example.

I ordered a 2023 GMC Suv Dec 2022
(still waiting). I probably should’ve waited a year😬.
Manufacturers and dealers have seen huge profits the past 2 yrs with vehicles selling at MSRP and way above. Of course that was with low interest rates and pent up demand.

Guessing the 2.7L turbos are not selling well. I’ve heard nothing but good things about that engine👍

Every large discount I've seen on Silverados had only been on the 4 bangers. They're pushing them to get their CAFE numbers up.
