Well, Arizona mountains, that is. Complicated road to Apache Lake hauling a 25ft trailer and the TB 3.0 handled it like a champ. Time to upgrade the trailer tires though - used trailer, used tires.
There is more to this story. Did you loose the spare too after putting it on? Trailer damage when the rubber came off? I was on the Beeline HWY 87 N when I blew a trailer tire like that and it beat a hole through my wheel well. Were you on the Apache trail when you had the tire issue?Well, Arizona mountains, that is. Very glad that I was not on the trail when this happened. The first tire went by Roosevelt Lake - the spare popped just outside of Gold Canyon, when I discovered the other tire on the same side was going flat. Three tires, one trip. No damage to the trailer luckily. Visual inspection and air pressure gave no indication of an issue. It's possible I picked up debris going through construction zones. Back on the road this weekend with the new shoes! There is more to this story. Did you loose the spare too after putting it on? Trailer damage when the rubber came off? Glad no damage. On a tandem axle rig they can blow out and you don't even feel it. Even though I have a high volume air compressor for airing the truck tires up and down all the time for off road reasons I carry this as one of my favorite camping/towing convenience tools. I can easily take care of the TT tires for every trip, everyone loves the USB ports when boondocking and much more.Very glad that I was not on the trail when this happened.
