Oh my aching head… I did the muffler delete on my 2020 TB. It sounds great but the drone gave me a headache after an hour. Anyone done this and can point me in the right direction for a fix ? Thanks.

Looking for a 22” muffler that will bolt up- any suggestions?

Glad I'm old now and love the fact I can't hear my exhaust at all except for cold starts! I had electric exhaust cutouts on my 500HP Head/Cam Vette. 100% recommend that setup!!

Sound is great but removing the muffler changed the frequency of the whole exhaust-makes my ears ring ughhhh….

Update…after running it for a few days it’s mellowed out quite a bit-sounds a lot better.

I am with you on getting old, had a 2019 TB took to my muffler guy of over 50 years and he said go drive it & if you want after market exhaust come back. I did come back but gave him a $100 bill & said thanks for not letting me go there. Been there done that and have raced boats and cars all our lives and quite is nice. Picking up my new 2022 Thursday, will have the 6.2 instead of the 5.3 and very interested to see the sound difference.

How do you like the Borla Touring exhaust system? I was thinking of getting one. How much louder then stock? And is that something you can install by your self? Performance gains?
Thanks.
It’s perfect in my opinion… soft rumble when cruising and sounds awesome getting on the throttle… but not overly aggressive. I haven’t dyno’d it so can’t speak to performance gains. I installed it myself.

No drone on the highway and it's just loud enough to not be annoying.
You have a video at idle or reving? I’m going down rabbit holes trying to find the perfect one for my 6.2 also did you get rid of the flapper valves or keep ‘em? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't. I traded my Trail Boss for a ZR2 and didn't bother to get any vids of it. I got rid of the flapper valve. Wasn't too noticeable.

I'm probably going to add the same muffler to the ZR2.

I have heard that leaving the flapper valve in can help with this

I got the Borla S, and love it. No drone, a wake up call on cold start and then it settles down nicely. If I want some noise I just put it in low and use the paddle shifters to keep the revs (and growl) up.
