I have a 2022 Silverado Trail Boss which I just got back after 68 days out of service due to a failed valve body. I currently have a Lemon Law case filed and if I win the buyback from GM, I will need to make a decision. I will either trust GM replaced the faulty valve body with a "newly designed" one that will not fail in the future and keep my TB or accept the buyback and look to purchase a 2023 or newer Colorado ZR2??? It is just that I love the feel of the V8 and the fact I have done so much aftermarket work on my TB and to accept the buyback will just throw all that hard work and value away. However, with the constant issues that keep arising with the 10 speed automatic, it may just be worth it to accept a buyback from GM??? I have not found much negative info about the 8 speed automatic transmissions having any issues, so I may consider the Colorado ZR2. I just don't know because it is only a 2.7L turbo 4 so way less of a power "feel" than the V8 I am so used to for so long. I think the last time I had a vehicle with a 4 cylinder was back in 1994 when I bought a Ford Ranger XLT. Any opinions are welcome. Please help me out! Thanks!
