Need help on wheel set up. I have a 2024 Silverado Trail Boss looking to get new shoes for it. Recently I installed ReadyLift 1.75” level with upgraded UCA’s. I have some Toyo 35x12.5R18 tires sitting in the garage. The wheels I have in mind are 18 inch Lock Off Road Lunatics but there are two options on offsets which are

18x9 -12mm (4.53 Backspacing)

18x9 +1mm (5.04 Backspacing)

I’m not interested to run spacers but if it’s needed it’ll be done. I’m aware of trimming the fenders. Which of these sizes will not rub on the ball joints? Or will both of these sizes rub the ball joints?

I recommend the +1s. They should have enough backspace to clear the UCAs but will have less arc when turning and keep your tires out of the fenders. Readylift states that the system was designed using 0 offset wheels, one millimeter is pretty minimal.

yeah. thanks! i also have a mudflap delete kit on the way so it will take up way the mudflap rubbing issue

the ZERO range offset will be far better driving vehicle, below is a 9" zero offset with a 35 x 11.50
you will have no issue with either offset you mentioned, but the -12 will be really tight and y require additional clearance...i have dont the MF delete, removed the liner brace and pushed the liners as far back as possible...i could a 37 with the 0 offset.

the -12 would require trimming of the body crash brace at eh rear of the front wheels, near the body mount

the silver truck is on a 37

i have American Racing 17x9's with a -12 offset and ZERO rubbing.

I have the exact wheel in the +1 on 33’s well 275/70/18.

Gives an ever so slight edge poke. I will say this I had an issue with one wheel , lock answers the phone immediately But getting caps, screws , etc from them has been non existent Price was extremely right and look was fantastic in my opinion .

I have a 19 Custom, just went from 1.5" RC leveling on 35x12.5x20 (+24) with trimmed flaps with slight rub backing (barely a finger clearance on factory UCA). "Upgraded" to the RL SST 2" with Bilsteins front and back with 1.5" spacers, I have a plenty of UCA clearance. Popped everything up.

  1. To avoid rubbing on the ball joints with your 2024 Silverado Trail Boss after installing a 1.75" leveling kit and upgraded UCA’s, here's the breakdown:

    Wheel Options:

    • 18x9 -12mm Offset (4.53” Backspacing):
      • Pros: Wider stance, more aggressive look.
      • Cons: The -12mm offset will push the wheels out further, which increases the risk of rubbing on the ball joints and possibly on the fender lip even with trimming.
    • 18x9 +1mm Offset (5.04” Backspacing):
      • Pros: Closer to stock width, less likely to rub on the ball joints or require heavy trimming.
      • Cons: Slightly less aggressive stance compared to the -12mm offset.

    Recommendation:

    • The 18x9 +1mm offset is the safer choice as it provides a more conservative fitment and is less likely to rub on the ball joints, especially with your current suspension setup.
    • The 18x9 -12mm offset could work if you're aiming for a wider stance but may require more aggressive trimming and could potentially rub on the ball joints, even if spacers are used.
If you prefer the wider stance, you can go with the -12mm offset but be prepared for potential rubbing and more trimming of the fenders. The +1mm offset will be more functional and cause less trouble.
Let me know how it goes!

So you went with the RL SST 2" with Bilsteins front and back. Did you do the whole coilover set up or justthe shock/strut and if so which ones did you go with andif it made any improvements. Looking to replace the stock Ranchos, just did not know what set up to look into.
Thanks

You may want to adjust your comments...the NEGATIVE offset, push AWAY from.the BJ INCREASING clearance, and DECREASE risk of rub. The POSITIVE offset increase the risk of rub.

sorry I didn't see your comment until now. I did strut using the stock springs and rear shocks w/included 3" block and 1.5" hub centric spacers. The improvement is noticeable for a firmer ride and tighter steering feel. The height bump was an added bonus on the struts as I went to the 1st snap clip notch. Measurement after a week of driving has settled to 1 inch higher than the rear at the center point of the fender wells from the ground. The hood slope helps it appear level. I'm likely going to do a 3.5" rear block. These struts were hard to find, 2 different business' online had to cancel my order because of Bilstein supply issues. I finally went to Ebay and found them brand new and cheaper ! I am running 35x12.5x20 Coopers, the only rub is occasional full clock backing and my flaps are 2/3 cut away (inside part).
