Just bought a 2021 Custom Trail Boss. Finding out that there’s not much room for storage inside (center console, pockets behind the seats, etc.). Any suggestions? Any accessories that might help? Possibly something that fits right below the entertainment system?

The biggest area for storage is under the back seat. Several storage bins available from various companies👍

Under the back seat is the best place for additional storage. There are options to purchase. I opted to build a custom one out of 1/4 inch plywood, painted it with bedliner paint, lined the bottom with black outdoor carpet. Created the template with cardboard before cutting the wood and got exactly what I needed.

I have the under back seat bin from Chevy (there other ones that may be better). It utilises every inch of storage available. It's full of tools and recovery gear. An essential upgrade for me.

Mine is an LT, that means I have a cavornis console that is too big. I would be much happier if I had the bench seat like the Custom has so I could put a full size human being there like I wish I could!

Got any pics of this project?

I have a 19 custom. There is replacement (GM?Chevy) center (middle seat) that has a console. Looks just like the factory one but opens. I was shocked too when it did not open. A word of caution if you decide to replace that middle seat(and spend the $$$) it is a bitch to unscrew the floor bolts (unless you have the right tools). I found a slightly used one on ebay for $325 shipped earlier this year(bought TB in March. Honestly it is not a lot of storage but enough for me. Let me know if you would like pics. Good luck. The other storage as others mentioned is under the rear seat. I have seen anywhere from $100 up depending on material (plastic/ metal). I again lucked out locally and got a Tuffy box with 2 doors and locks for $225 new from a guy that bought a GMC that had it thrown in the back seat. Those go for $375 and up. I had to modify the brackets but it fits perfectly.

2 improvements for storage I've been happy with in my Custom. Tyger under rear seat bin ($150 off Amazon) fits 48" high lift jack, med kit, tool kit, blanket, winch accessories etc... I also was able to get the lid only for my front center seat with the storage bin that opens. Huge improvement! Words of advice for those making this change... Removing the drivers seat then the middle seat to work on the shop floor is much easier. Also the little metal clips that hold the plastic trim on the sides of the seat back are a pain in the @$$. I had to salvage some from the old lid to put things back together. In any case, well worth the effort.

I use a Du-Ha under seat storage container that mounts utilizing the factory mounting points. It holds my recovery gear and work gear, and has been very durable.
