New muffler, great sound and price.

Just upgraded the muffler, sounds good and throaty. Not super loud and really nice on acceleration.
I amazed at how stiff the flapper is, it really takes a lot of force to rotate it. I’m pretty sure it was being very restrictive.
AFM is disabled by Range so no drone of chopper sounds.
Really couldn't be happier.
These mufflers are made by Flowmaster under the Holley name.
This one is the same as a Flowmaster 40 and at $35 you really can't go wrong. Very well made, sturdy and the welds are perfect.

Getting rid of that flapper valve is 90% of the solution.

Awesome - I basically just posted and asked about this - The muffler is only $35?? How much they charge to put it on?

Most places will charge $50-$100 I believe. I had them complete weld all joints and they used stainless steel pipe. Shop is owned by a nice kid who’s father I used to work with and he passed away so I gave him $100. He was happy with it.

Not trying to be a naysayer but it's made of aluminized steel which is basically mild steel with aluminum "sprayed" on it.
Fine in CA, AZ, etc but probably won't last long in wet areas. Although at less than $40 you can replace it 10x and still be ahead

I have a Flow Master Super 44 on a 2019 5.3-liter Trail Boss. I really like the low growl. From what I understand, the super 44 has the lowest tone out of the 40 series. There is little drone inside the cab.
