What’s up y’all, my trucks going in the shop for a 3.5” lift in a couple weeks. I wanna keep my stock 18” wheels and am looking to change the wrangler duratrac tires out. I like how it rides right now, nice and smooth except for a lil hum with the tires, no biggie. But have seen in the threads about people experiencing some more than normal vibrations when switching out tires. So my question is, what would be a good tire, keeping the same smooth feel as the stocks? I wanna go up a tire size, maybe a 285, 295? Any good suggestions out there? Thanks

I’ve been running 295/70r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires on my factory 18in TB wheels for 2 years now. They are quieter and stronger than the factory Duratracs, and they also have the severe winter rating.

Thanks, do you have a lift and how high? Experience any rubbing issues?

I have the same , Love the wildpeaks . Rough country 1.5 leveling kit and upper control arms I didn't have rubbing until I added 1.25" spacers now it rubs at full turn a bit

No lift or level for me, but I did some trimming to the inside half of the mud flap and removed the bracket hidden behind the wheel well liner. No rubbing even with the BORA 1.5in wheel spacers (similar stance to an aftermarket -12 offset wheel).

Here’s a photo for reference.

I really like my 295 70 Toyo Open Country III on stock 18s. Smooth and quiet on road and good off road too👍
did you have the tires put on before the leveling kit was installed by any chance? I want to swap the tires now, and get the leveling kit done in a few week when I have the time if possible. Thanks.

e how they look. My truck is totally stock, no lift, no rubbing. Just bolt them on and go.

I just wanted to clarify. Im doing the same to my truck right now. Im installing the 1.5 in leveling kit and UCA from Rough Country (RC). You have the same setup right with with the 295/70R18 Wild peaks, correct?

If so, you said you had no rubbing with the new UCA from RC? I was afraid the tire would be too close to the UCA. Im already really close with the stock UCA.

You only had rubbing on the fenderwell and mud flap after installing the spacers?
