Hello new to the forum and to Trailboss. I have the gen 3 2022. Now trying to find some goodies. Wish I could get the pulsar but I’m told it doesn’t work with my version. Any recommendations on a tune and programmer?

Superchips flashpaq if it works for the '22. Id contact them directly. It's the only "tuner" without having to be your own technician. It will cost about $900 in the end. Unlocked about 45hp/45tq on performance tune in the 6.2L. towing tune is amazing. I had the pulsar. Great for shutting things off or changing pedal response that's about it.

thank you for the helpfull info. Excactly what i was needed and the flashpaq is on the list. Looking to see if i can fine one at a decent price. Of course if live in CA so many shops do not ship to me and thats where they are the cheapest. May have to take a trip to a neighboring state to pick one up.

Our take a gamble on somebody being nice enough to assist you because they know how real the struggle is. I just left California on July 1. I'm now in Florida. The heat sucks, but not as bad as California does.

I have Supechips Flashpaq for my truck but it does say it doesn't work for 2022 refresh models. So if it is the refresh, then it won't work. What engine do you have? AFE has a programmer called Scorcher that seems to work well for the four cylinder turbo engine and the baby Duramax. It just cranks up the turbo and builds more fuel pressure. But if you have the 5.3 or 6.2 in a refresh model, I don't think there is much out there for power-adding options via a tuner or programmer. A cold air intake, cat-back exhaust, and a ported throttle body are your best available options right now.

Welcome Bro

It's going to be a long time before we have anything for the 22.5+ refresh trucks. It's a whole new system and the modules use private key encryption. I don't see how it's going to be viable to sell tuners and tunes for the new architecture but hackers always seem to find a way.

This is a big part of why I bought a '21 instead of a refresh '22. I'm going to hang back and wait until they crack this system, if they ever do.

Superchips has already cracked the 19-22 models. Pre-refresh for 22 models, to clarify. I have it on my truck and it was probably the single biggest power upgrade I have done to my truck. Plus it does everything the Pulsar does as far as functionality adjustments go.

I think their is one for the refresh model but you have to ship your ecu to them so it will take some time to get the truck back up and running.

Yes I had to do the same. I took it out early Saturday morning and went straight to FedEx with overnight shipping. I had it back Tuesday afternoon. So not too bad, but nearly impossible if it's your only vehicle. Thankfully my wife had her old SUV still lingering in our driveway lol.

I agree! Noticed instantly and with the plug in accessory and App I was able to do a lot more.

As far as I know, there is not yet anything for any of the Global B systems. C8 guys have been waiting for years, and it's not looking good. The problem is two-fold - one, it's a completely new architecture so they have to start from scratch, and two, Global B uses private key encryption, PER MODULE. That's a security nightmare. Every single module needs to be cracked, and the crack needs to be performed each time the module is flashed. On the previous architecture the security was global, so once they figured out how to crack one module, they could use the same key on every module. So that means that every ECU sent in needs days of work just to access...that's a lot of expensive man-hours resulting in a cost prohibitive product. No one is going to want to pay $3k+ just to have DFM disabled.

I always leave room for the really creative minds though, you never know. I've heard that someone is working on a hardware bypass...similar to the security gateway bypass being used on FCA vehicles...only problem is that in this case, it's going to be non-revert-able so that means warranty voided.

All this is what pushed me over the edge into buying a pre-refresh truck. I was all set to order a 22 TB and just add all the options myself but learning how much of a nightmare this new electrical system is was the final straw. I don't care how nice that new interior is, it's not worth all the BS that comes packaged with it.
