Traded in my 2022 ZR2 1500 for a 2026 LTZ Trail Boss. Opted for the 6.6L gas.

First HD truck. So far I love it other than we have speed tables outside of our neighborhood and it's a bit bouncy over those. Only issue I have seen so far is the backup camera seems darker than all the rest even in the daylight.

What a gorgeous truck!

Welcome aboard.

Too nice for us regular 1500's. Lol. One day, though, that will be my next purchase. But not for a while. Congratulations!
Thanks. I plan on this being my last vehicle. Now if I can get it to last 20+ years :D

Congrats.
Gorgeous color.
I’m in a blacked out 3500 TB. Black is a iBtch to keep clean!! That red is beautiful.

Yea black is hard to keep clean and micro scratches show up worse than any other color. I hate the fact the dealership washed mine before I got there. It has micros on it because they touched it. lol. I generally use two bucket system to avoid them as long as I can.

have it professionally ceramic coated ! period....

many will say things regarding the coatings, and how you can DIY...the product itself is the key. Look for an HN rating as well as chemical makeup...the pro coatings i use typically have about 65% solids and a HN of 9 or higher.

If ceramic coating is supposed to keep it from scratching, then it happened before it was coated. It came with a ceramic coat with a 5 year warranty.

MYTH...ceramics do not protect from scratches.

What Brand was used ? Most dealer applied are a generic SiO2 based product applied wet....they provide several months of beading...that is why the offer free reapplication f you are unhappy...takes minutes and they just wash it.

they can minimize marring induced marks from rougher towels, minor bumping, ect...but PREVENT, they do not. most coatings are only a few microns thick. Most of the micro abrasions from wiping will be deterred, but far too many people do not understand how to care for a coated surface.

many times i have explain, WIPING MORE is not WIPING HARDER... micro fiber is an abrasive. every wipe could induce a mark...the GSM and HOW one wipes can make a huge difference. Costco offers a great TADDY TOWEL ( if you will )...simply a towel to use and say Micro Fiber...

you really need something around 400 or higher and wipe gently but more swipes if needed.

That is about what I thought. Personally, when I wash, I use a wash bucket and a rinse bucket to try and avoid scratches on the paint. If a bit hits the ground, it goes in the garbage vs "hoping" it didnt pick up anything.

When I have time, I'll try to find the paperwork and see if it says what ceramic they used. Supposedly it has a five year warranty of bugs or bird crap etc damages the paint. The truck I traded in and the Wrangler before that had no micro scratches anywhere. Perks from being OCD I suppose lol.

I know one day scratches and small dings will be there. I keep telling myself not to worry so much about it but man is it hard. :D

Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me if the new style tail lights are full LEDs? Every time I try to look it up it shows me the earlier versions of them which definitely are not.

Thanks.
