New updated steering wheel

I have a 2020 Custom, it came with the plain Jane steering wheel so I order the updated leather wrapped wheel. My question is I know you have to update the head unit to get the radio controls on new wheel to work but what about the steering wheel heater can it be turned on now in the ECM?

What ever happened with this?
I just picked up a '21 CTB and would love to change out the steering wheel for one with stereo controls
