I have had my LT TB 3.0 about a month. So far i love it. Other than some dumb things GM cheaped out on. I not focused on that. I looking for general tips. I have read about fuel filter maintanence and of course oil changes. Are there other recommendations. I remote start it and let it warm up, defore jumping in. I remember with older diesels people would leave them running if they had a quick stopped at a store. is that a thing still or with all this start/stop is that not much an issue. Yes i turned the start/stop off. I appreciate any advised

Block heater and anti gel fuel additive in the winter time. Don't leave it running when you're away from it. I'd be pissed if I came out of the store and my truck was gone. Also, I don't know if deletes are available (or recommended) for the new gm diesels, but I would probably look into that too.

I change my fuel filter every 7500 miles. I change my oil every 5k Currently sitting around 23k and have done five oil changes and two fuel filters. I also had the software flashed so my Truck will not shut off when left running and locked. TSB FOR SOFTWARE
I almost never shut my truck off when going into a store or pumping gas if its going to be under 15mins. If the truck is lock and you take the key with you, your truck should be there when you get back.

why would you leave your vehicle running for 15 minutes when you're away from it?

Dogs in the cab! Also there is less wear on the engine idling once warmed up vs starting and stopping the engine. Every see tow trucks with the engine off, tractor trailers? My Father was a Trucker and I know technology has changed but Thats my thoughts on this.

I have 35k miles on my truck. Installed the auto stop eliminator. Something factory should have done. Used AC Delco oil change from Amazon until this last one. Moved over to Mobil 1. Changed fuel filter once. I have been using the change indicators on the truck. Nothing extra. Getting great mileage and no real issues. Have researched the delete as i would love to be out of regen and def. Have not worked out all of the legalities, so have not pulled the trigger. Do all of my own maintenance and it’s a lot easier with the level and larger tires. Can get under on the roll around without ramps or lift. 😂

My TB is gas and also have a 3.0 Yukon my wife drives. Guarantee she’s not doing anything different than she did in her gas Suburban. That includes accelerating to red lights and late braking😆.

That's a peeve of mine. On a 2 lane road I'll get stuck behind somebody who throws their left turn signal but moves right to prevent people from passing them while they wait for an opening in oncoming traffic to make their left turn, thereby making a pass on the shoulder impossible and holding up everybody else behind them. It's a peeve because I view it as avoidable rudeness.
