I have a 2021 Trailboss. While trailering an enclosed trailer, I am getting an auditory alert with a repetitive warning notice of “Check Trailer wiring” , and “Brakes are connected” All running lights are operating and functional. Its the annoying sound of the alert and the visual notice that keep showing up. Any suggestions?
Is the problem with the trailer pigtail, or the truck’s 7 pin plug?

Is your tow ball or the trailer ball socket rusty? Could be a ground issue between the two. I know the 7 way has a ground but still may not be good enough.

Not a lot of responses on this so I, with you, may be in the minority here but I feel like all my GM trucks (5th one currently) have done this to some extent. Trailer attached, trailer not attached, check trailer wiring, check trailer brakes, ect. Some times it won’t, some times it will.

None of the trailers I have used consistently are new, and some it’s been quite a while since they’ve been new on a dealer lot so I’ve just always assumed it’s the trailer. 🤷🏻‍♂️

could be the plug on the trailer side. I seem to have the ground issue more than anything else
