Picked her up last night after nine weeks or waiting. Super excited first mod was the antenna and console tray.
I lucked out big time. On 03/31/2021 I walked into a dealer looking for a black 6.2 Custom Trail Boss with the performance package. The salesman told me that he had sold the truck the previous Sunday. He then told me about an LT Trail Boss with a 6.2 and midnight package. We went to see it to come and find that it was still in shipping and was not scheduled for delivery to the dealership until 5 weeks later. The salesman said it may be closer and he would research. I checked again 2 days later on the status and he was able to narrow the location down to a manufacturer's lot 45 minutes away. He could not guarantee getting the truck sooner but thought he could. He said $500 would hold it. I decided to negotiate what turned out to be a great deal. He gave me employee pricing for being retired military which was $3700+ off MSRP. I then qualified for Chevrolet manufacturer discount of $4400 so nearly 8k off MSRP is pretty good these days. I called the following Tuesday and the salesman told me the truck would be at the dealer by the end of the week. I drove off the lot on Friday 04/09/2021. Talk about being at the right place. These days, good luck finding a deal like that anywhere let alone a 6.2 TB to buy to begin with.Awesome!! So far, this has been a great truck for my needs. A little bit of towing, off roading and grocery getting. Of course there are more features I like. However, overall, this truck is a good balance.
why did you have to wait so long? Are these trucks on a waiting list? Or did you get something special?
