I recently went to rough country and ordered some pod lights/ ditch lights to be attached near the back of my hood near the passenger and driver side windshield… I realized just AFTER they were shipped talking to CS at Rough Country they will NOT work for a refreshed TB… he tried to explain it but, it went over my head… anyways, does anyone know a company that sells these lights to fit and work on a refreshed TB?

Are these the ones you're talking about? I know it says it won't fit the Refreshed but a couple of the comments say they do...

Yeah, I saw about four to five buyers said it did but. Rough Country said it did not. I could remember if he said it was the brackets or something to do with the wiring… I tried to cancel them but the just arrived today!

I attempted to install these and they will fit with brackets they come with but, I could not figure out how to run the switch from the engine compartment to cab of truck… to make matters worse, I loss the hood hinge nut in the engine compartment!!! I called everywhere and no one not even the dealership carries it… so, I researched it and found it was a M8-1.25 flanged hex nut. I found it at an auto parts store for $4 for 4 of them. Lesson I guess learned.

I installed those lights. This might help you. There is an easy way to fish through the firewall. There was a conversation about it but this was the post that said how I went through. Let me know if you need more details.

Thoughts on these? I went to an off-road store and they suggested these so I don’t have to deal with firewall

I used the wireless LED remote control switch from rough country for my grill lights. Worked great so far and didn’t have to run anything into cab. 👍🏻

I have these installed on my truck, I can provide pictures on how and where to run wires into cab for the switch if anyone needs them? Pretty easy to get wires into the cab on these trucks..

I do not prefer that location for Ditch Lights. And, with magnetic mounts I can point them in whatever direction is good for Off Road Recovery work. So I went with these: (The 60W each is 5,400 lumens, or 900,000 candlepower at 50 feet.)

And the magnetic mounts actually cost more than the lights. But together it's still less than $100:

12V Power can be had at Unused Location F5 in the pax side fuse box:

... using a Micro2 FuseTap connector:

I like 'em, and I store the lights in a bag and in a Tub in the bed. (I also have a CB antenna mag-mount and Yellow Flashing bar.)
