I Was just looking on the web at a local dealer found at 2023 Silverado Lt Trail Boss crew cab with the 6.2 Ecotec 3. Listed under options the price for the 6.2 is $3890 VS $2495 that was the same option on my 2022 LTD Silverado Trail Boss. That's a difference of $1395

There was a small stretch recently where 6.2's weren't even being manufactured at all due to supply shortages. So this doesn't really surprise me. Still worth every penny, in my opinion.

Again I agree came from a 2017 Silverado with the 5.3 six speed. And its a night and day difference. With 6.2 10 speed. I just put a cold air intake on and I just get a smile on my face when I push that skinny pedal on the right down. Looking at the Borla touring system next. I am 65 and always have been a gearhead since I could dive. If your not living on the edge you are taking up to much room. Lol

Picked up this GM Cold Air Intake on face book market place for $125.00 They sell for right around $500 on GM web site.

Too bad you don't get the computer flash that is required for that GM cold air intake. Expect codes to be thrown eventually.

I just built / optioned a 2023 TB the same as my 2021. It's about $15K more. The new dash is nice but not $15,000 nicer:LOL:

Borla Touring makes the 6.2 sound awesome in my opinion.

Why would it throw codes when other similar CAIs don't?

The Chevrolet Performance, GMC and Cadillac Cold Air Intake System (RPO 5W7, RVK) available on 2021 Camaro, Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Sierra, Yukon and Escalade models equipped with the 5.3L V8 engine (RPO L84), 6.2L V8 engine (RPO L87) or 6.2L V8 engine (RPO LT1) should only be installed on vehicles that were ordered with the RPO/LPO (dealer installed) option. (Fig. 17) The Cold Air Intake System requires a calibration from the Techline Customer Support Center (TCSC), which is not available for vehicles without the proper RPO/LPO 5W7 or RVK option.

The Cold Air Intake System is a Limited Production Option (LPO) that can be ordered with the vehicle at the time of purchase. It is not to be installed or sold as an Accessory Catalog Offering (ACO), or over-the-counter accessory, as the calibration is not available for ACO applications. If installed on an incorrect vehicle, the Check Engine MIL may illuminate and DTCs P0172 (Fuel Trim System Rich) and P0175 (Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 2) may set.

When I ordered my 22' Refreshed TB at the end of February 22' the 6.2L was the same price. I'm very happy with the 6.2L.

It says a CEL “may” illuminate which means it also “May Not”😝. Probably the same odds as any aftermarket CAI since they are all basically the same.

My K&N cold air intake didn't throw any engine codes, but it did start issuing the "service air filter system" warning, or something like that. It was just a pop-up on my screen similar to the "ice possible" warning that comes up when it is below 37 degrees outside. I was able to disable the warning and it never bothered me again lol. But I also have a canned tune on it now, which probably helped.
