Retrofits

So as documented in other threads heated seat retrofits have been out for awhile. Front and rear park assist is ongoing. PSA, if you have your park assist retrofit make sure they update the cluster software - ask me how I know.
While I was doing a deep dive into why my park assist wasn’t working like I thought it should I ran across the announcement that heated steering wheel retrofits are underway. Looks like they are doing it in two phases, module only and then steering wheel. I haven’t seen the recall yet for my VIN.
These are the only ones affecting my vehicle but I’m sure there are others so here’s a dedicated thread for retrofit announcements and/or problems.

Thank you for the information. My wife bought a 2021 Tahoe RST that I believe didn't have a heated steering wheel due to the chip shortage. Do you know if she would still have to pay to have this feature added, or do you know if it will be included in her case?

So I’m not 100% on anything but if she has a credit for it on window sticker/includes later retrofit mentioned then like most of these “chip shortage” vehicles it should have a “recall” issued for her VIN when parts are available ect. and the active feature would be added under warranty. Should have been told at purchase also. Check her VIN for recalls just in case.

In my case I got recall notices for heated seats and park assist but haven’t recieved one for heated steering yet.
