First time last night actually backing out in the dark (raining too) in my 24 TBLT, and I literally couldn’t see anything! It was so bad when I got back home, had my wife get in to test so I could stand outside to see if they were even coming on which they were. We compared it to her Subaru and literally night and day difference.

Is this a known issue with these trucks or do I have a problem with mine? If the former, have folks replaced bulbs, upgrades the whole taillight assembly, added light bar, hitch light, etc?

Lasfit, easy as can be and blindingly bright
Yeah have used them several times to replace halogen. But I believe mine are already led, right? And lasfit doesn’t work with those according to their site

My 21 LT did not come with LED reverse lights. Non LED for the front turn signals and license plate too.

Lasfits for reverse lights and plate lights are on my short list too. It’s my understanding that these are still incandescent even with LED brake/rear signals. Like you, last night in the rain I couldn’t see a thing.

Oh duh, guess it would have helped if I actually looked my bulbs! Yeah definitely halogen. Lasfit on the way!!! Replacing the license plate lights too

I just got Lasfit reverse lights in today and have yet to install them. I went with Philips Ultinon 194 LED bulbs for my license plate lights. I ran them in my Canyons interior and license plate lights for 8 years and never had one fail. It blows my mind that every light on these trucks is LED except for the reverse lights and license plate lights.

Not sure about the refresh trucks but the pre-refresh also the front turn signals are halogen. I agree though, why not all LED?

So just curious if I end up doing some dumb like buying new recons, then which one would I get?

I'm another that upgraded to LasFit reverse and license plate lights, along with front turn signals. If you really want to take the reverse lights to the next level a recommend the Putco 60" blade led lights that fit between the tailgate and rear bumper. Get it through the dealer and it's plug and play.

Lasfit reverse bulbs, ebay special tailgate bar, 2x2 LED cube lights.

If you bought a Trail Boss, the light problem was a design flaw! I have the same issue!
