Hey guys, when we visit our vacation house final hundred yards are laid out in heavy large gravel/rocks. What can be done to protect the rear wheel fender. I think Chevy knew this was a problem since the have a different coating in from for the rear tires. But this weekend I took some good hits.

Have a clear vinyl put over the area like a clear bra for the hood.

I live on 14 miles of gravel road. I had hits there the first time I drove it home. I had too put some flat side steps on (not the round type) that stopped it completely, not another hit. I put rockguard clear on my 18 Silverado but it didn't hold up very long. Looks like you already have a retractable type step on?

I did install the amp power steps. I’m looking at a few options. Maybe having a professional do the front bumper and the sides with that clear bra. Thanks again for the feed back.

Curious what fender flares you installed? I'm looking at that next for mine.

Something minimal like your style.

What running boards are those?

Painted front bumpers are what clear bra was made for!
That stuff is up there somewhere near pull tabs on beer cans as a great invention!
And it would work “ok” for the OPs purposes but be tough to get it to look right on that profiled rock guard surface. If you do it, make sure to extend it onto the smooth paint enough to get a good seal around the edge.
But the real answer is real mud flaps. If a person actually wants to save the bottom portion of the truck from getting hammered with road debris, there’s no “invisible “ solution that beats good mud flaps.
