Installed these yesterday, I love the factory installed look! Instructions weren't the best, they include a black & white set but you can pull up the color one online and you can blow it up as well which does help. Instructions also don't include anything on how to get the wiring inside the cab, so it took 4-5 hours to figure out everything. Well worth it though, and a bargain at $120.

I installed them a few years ago when they were $200. Still look snd operate as new. They aren’t very bright though.

I have to go with everything jmzvet said. I have them, too. I tossed the wire harness and switch in favor of my own custom made setup utilizing the GM Upfitter switches on my dash. I had no faith on the wire harness and switch that came in the kit after I found it on Amazon for dirt cheap.

They light up as well as I expected, I was looking for a little more distance along with a wider pattern to see the deer which are everywhere in my area. I hit one a year ago with my wife's car and did $16,000 in damage. I thought the wire harness under the hood was decent quality but a smaller connector would have made it easier trying to work it inside the cab and getting it to where I wanted it.

I agree, for the size of the bar and number of LEDs, they put out a decent amount of light. I just wanted more😎

Maybe I'm a snob, and I'm fine with that. I expected brighter. My project in June is replacing the light bars that came with the kit for some light bars from Baja Designs. I keep saying I'm going to do it, but I just haven't done it yet. I'm working on another big project right now that I've been discussing in "What Did You Do To Your Truck Today?" thread. I have 2 small projects and 1 other bigger project lined up that I already have the parts and pieces for (plus a tune up to do on my wife's car) before I can get to the light bars swapped. Keep an eye on that other thread and you'll see how it turns out.

Looking forward to seeing your conversion Transient! I wasn't really expecting to melt the grill with these lights considering their size, I just wanted to give the factory LED's (which aren't very impressive in my opinion) a boost and not blind anyone in case I forget and leave them on. Just curious, how did you run your wire into the cab? I ran mine through the rubber grommet on the passenger side below the big rubber boot where all of the other wires go to the door. Also, which lights from Baja are you going with, I looked on their site but didn't see any 1" bars?

Rubber nipple on the boot around the steering shaft on the driver's side of the engine bay. It's where GM said to run the wires for the upfitter switches, so I've been running all wires through there. It comes into the cab behind the foam in the upper right corner of the brake peddle so you can run the wires under the dash.

The harness that came with the lights may not have been long enough to go that route. With the battery located where it is, I picked the shortest route and still didn't have a lot of wire left over with it mounted just under the start button.

I used a wireless remote so nothing ran into cab. I’ve heard there are similar options that are cheaper, but I got it the same time I got my grill lights. Worked great so far.👍🏻

That fob looks very similar to the one GM used on the wiring harness they say is required for the 40" light bar and A-pillar light pods the sell through GM Accessories. The lights are from Baja Designs, but they didn't make the wire harness, nor supply the fob to GM. That kit with Rough Country being only $20 shows just how overpriced the GM Accessories wiring harness is.
