Guys, what running boards are you running on your Trailboss? I have a red hot red 2021 crew cab I need to add some to. Not sure if I want a tube style or wider one. Thoughts? Thanks fellas.

Installed the Rough Country oval nerf bars a few weeks back and very happy with them so far. Well built and easy install.

I have the GoRhino textured running boards RB10 series, chose them over the 20 series due to the slits verses the holes in the 20 because i wanted to make sure my dogs nails didn’t get hung up when getting in.... but both are great

The one showing the add on steps are for my wife, she’s vertically challenged. But all the others show basic step bars.

I’m running a set of Westin HDX drop steps. Love em so far, good grip in the winter.

GM Silverado. Installed them yesterday. Pretty expensive but they are well built and sturdy
I recently changed theme out with Amp Power Steps. More expensive but very well built.

I went with the GoRhino RB20 w/ bedliner finish. Lots of pics of other trucks having them on the forum and I liked how they look. They fit snug under the truck and but they are not as wide as the factory off road steps. The steps are tapered so on my truck they are wide from the front and taper off to the passenger side. Many folks have been installing them the other way around to get the wider board on the passenger side, all about your personal preference but both ways look great on the truck. I initially wanted to get the factory off road steps (like above) but they were back ordered at the time I purchased my truck. I don't regret getting the RB20's though. Lots of great options out there good luck narrowing your choices down.

I went with the Ionic 41 series. I bought them mostly for gravel guards. There somewhat adjustable in and out and very well made. They run about $280-$320 depending on where you buy them.

I looked around a lot for steps that were wide but didn’t affect ground clearance. Ended up going with the Havoc HST which have been great! Tucked up at the rocker panel and still plenty of room. They were $580 delivered.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I am truly having a hard time with this for some reason. I don’t want to affect clearance too much yet still help the wife get in the truck easier. Again, thanks for the help!

I was having the same issues. Hope you are able to narrow down your choice!

went with dealer installed GM running boards and mud guards. Also had dealer installed Line-x spray on bed liner at time of purchase. GM points and a farm use discount got em

Did you install them yourself and if so, do the bolt on with no mods? I like the way they look and don’t hang down too low. Also, how is the footing with them? Thanks.
