We are in the beginning stages of planning our first trip to Arizona next summer. We will be flying into Phoenix and heading toward the Grand Canyon with stops along the way in Sedona, etc... We really want to rent an RV for our trip and I am wondering what places are recommended to rent from near Phoenix?
I have done a little research and it seems like an RV dealer will be an expensive way to go, but since it is our first choice I want to really look to see if it is worth it for us.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't have a suggestion for RV rentals. But I am in Phoenix and know the Sedona area well. It is an amazing place. It has gotten quite busy and expensive in recent years.

As far as the Grand Canyon goes I suggest you look into visiting the North Rim. Ninety percent of visitors flood the South Rim. Its ease of access from Phoenix make it the popular destination. It is large and crowded. The North Rim takes more effort to get to and provides a totally different experience. No crowds, it is small and quiet. There is reasonably priced cottages to stay in. The mule ride down into the canyon is a lot of fun. For me it is well worth the effort.

Kind Regards,
Steve
