Yesterday I was travelling down a back road to a hunting spot. Doing about 45km. All of a sudden no warning no bad bumps or dips or ruts I hear this thumping noise. I look at the dash and its all light up. CEL flashing with wierd timing of flashes, service ESC error Traction control light on full time, Service park brake light on and error code. I slow to a stop and everything goes out. I was like ok that was wierd. I'm only 200k from home so at this point I'm like wth is going on with this truck now! Make the trip home with no issues.

This morning we get headed out to hunt. Head for the gas station. All of a sudden the same thing happens! Thumping rough idle all the Christmas light. Fill the truck with gas. Start the truck hear a loud thump.

Shut the truck off wait a bit. Start the truck same thing. Pull off to the side of the gas station so as I'm not blocking a pump. Put the truck in park I can feel it's idling really rouch like you can literally feel it hopping. Give it a bit of gas. It smooths out.

Take my truck to the bf's work to give it a wash its quite muddy since the roads are like clay.

Pull into the bay shut the truck off. Wait a bit turn it on same thing loud thump. Check the oil (was recently in for an oil change like 2 weeks ago) it seems to be at a fine level.

I'm beyond frustrated at this truck. This is my second trail boss. First one had more electrical issues than I can count and replaced every fricking harness in the truck. Some were replaced twice!

I literally picked my truck up from the shop in August due to the throttle body needing to be replaced. I have like 35k km on the truck.

Does anyone know where the engine control sensor is? I am wondering if it's a simple cleaning contacts fix or if it's something else.

You should be just lucky you can still hunt before Trudeau disarms Canada!

True that. Sad I'm running into these issues on this truck. At 37, 000kms it shouldn't even be having an issue.

Check the braided ground wires behind the passenger side fenderwell liner. Seen all kinds of weird issues caused by these grounds corroding away. I think someone recently posted a video here from YouTube of a mechanic diagnosing issues with this ground.
