What's new

SILVERADO IS RATED AS HAVING THE BEST VALUE IN PICKUP TRUCKS!

Must be based on price, couldn't see the article, but I did hear chevy had the least recurring issues and less recalls out of Ford and Ram

I’ve owned a lot of new Chevy trucks and I must admit this 2024 TB is the best 1 so far. I particularly like the sound of the 6.2l in the sport mode. The only negative thing about this truck is the stereos lack of bass.

So true, about the bass. You have to go into the EQ and punch it up to sound half way decent.

Just add an amp and 8 or 10 inch sub. Easy to install and sounds great.

Well I figured that I would never have the need to add a sub to a factory system I scraped all of my car stereo equipment from the 90s about 10 years ago. Now I’m adding a sub, let me tell you it’s not as easy to crawl under a dash when your in you’re 50s. Here’s the sub that I put in.

Yeah I hear that. I'm 55 I know how you feel. I used a signal out converter and tapped into my rear speakers. Running the power wire through the fire wall was pain in the A$$ but not to bad.

i would agree with...
1. Truck overall has been great, rigid and very sound...yet plush
2. Stereo (Bose or NON Bose) Both Suck / i added the GM kicker sub, perfect for cab fill and overall sound, would not have gone this route of paying full price
3. Wish my 23 had sport mode (fixed that myself with a Pedal Monster for now)

but, overall...the truck is great. EVEN BETTER since i have added the Fox 2.5 with DSC adjusters...super plush ride

So I finally took a picture of my sub installed in my truck, the sound is so much better I’m kind of contemplating changing out my Bose speakers now.

HA!HA! Try being 6'8", 325, AND in your upper 50's.🤬 I pay to have that stuff done these days. It's just not worth the hassle anymore.
I love your idea of installing a powered SW. I believe that's the route I will take when I upgrade.
