Has anyone tried to fit part 84731654 from a Colorado to a trail boss with or without modification?

Why? Where does it mount? There's already a skid plate under the front on the Z71 package.

It would replace the plastic one and extend up onto the lower plastic part of the front bumper for additional protection. I would think it would mount in the same location as the stock plastic one but am not sure.

Probably won't have same mounting points... Small truck versus big truck... Just my .02 guess.

Better off trying to get Silverado ZR2 parts.

Wondering if anyone has found the correct part yet. I to would like to replace the plastic. Cracks me up how GM cheeped out on the TB. The Colorado's look pretty cool. But too small for my liking.

there is a thread with links to aftermarket skids for the TB....

Yeah I am only finding skid plates for the differentials on the TB not the front skid plate that is made out of plastic. Would like a metal version.

I recently ordered and bolted up a full set of powdercoated skidplates and a heavily-recommended "front support bracket" from Pinnacle Offroad on my 25' Silverado Trail Boss. Threw that front plastic "splashguard" in the trash and have the new skids covering my radiator/front diff/transmission/transfer case/fuel tank. Great investment, especially considering this is marketed as an 'off-road" packaged truck but comes with absolutely laughable underbody protection. Anyway, not a brand sponsor or anything but can certainly vouch for the quality of the Pinnacle stuff. (I also have their under-hood Air Compressor mount....big fan)
