Just purchased at 2026 LT trail boss with 275/60/R20 tires. Want to go slightly bigger with just 275/65/R20 tires. Was wondering if anyone else has gotten away with this with little to no rubbing?
Did they rub bad or just slightly at full turn? They rubbed, requiring minor adjustments to the frame bracket and the plastic bracket that holds the front of the wheel well liner.
Front rubbed lightly with wheel turn, rear when going in reverse even with wheel straight. To be honest it doesn’t take much to make them fit without rubbing.Did they rub bad or just slightly at full turn?
You got a pic of yours by chance?Front rubbed lightly with wheel turn, rear when going in reverse even with wheel straight. To be honest it doesn’t take much to make them fit without rubbing.
I took a quick visual (on my 20" rims) and yea, wow, the rear has lots of fore/aft clearance, but the distance from the shoulder of the tire to the springs is limiting. I can see it rubbing if you go to a 12.5 wide tires. Those 20" OEM rims must have some negative offset or something.Front rubbed lightly with wheel turn, rear when going in reverse even with wheel straight. Yeah according to CGPT, they come factory with +26 or +28 offset. Negative offset would be better because they would stick out from the wheel well further if I remember correctly. I put a level on my last truck and went with 0 offset and was able to go bigger no problem. And thanks for the help
