I have lived in small towns and in or near big cities. There are benefits to both, although the big cities are less and less attractive these days. Currently I live a little too close to the nearest big city. The smallest town I ever lived in was Max, North Dakota-- pop. 360. And I have lived also in or near Chicago, Detroit, Phoenix and San Diego.
There are similarities between real life cities and online "communities". Some online communities are small and some are large. Most of us belong to several of both, I would imagine. I am currently looking for the best "big city" online for advice and knowledge regarding my wife's 2014 Ford Mustang. She has had it always serviced at a reputable dealership, but I might want to learn about maintaining it myself.
