So got a 2019 TB Custom for a pretty good deal. At about 55 to 60 mph I get this sort of rattle like a loose screw that sounds like it is coming from the steering column. I have taken the dash apart about as much as I am comfortable doing. Took cluster out radio section lower panel under steering 4wd and light switch section etc. driven and the noise is repeatable every time at about 55-60 mph. It will go away for a little bit and come back maybe for a couple of seconds to about 10 seconds and will go away. Annoying. So bought a column and my question is can the key ignition mechanism be moved from my column to the one I purchased? It looks like it can’t but not sure. Or has anyone else had this issue and found it to be something else? Many thank for reading and any input.

I had a similar issue when I first purchased mine. Sounded like a dry leaf had fallen in the vent up by the windshield (rattling). It turns out that it was just the clip where the wires attach underneath the steering column area, rattling (above the gas and break pedals). I think I zip tied it to where it wouldn't rest on whatever it was causing it to vibrate and rattle at certain speeds.
Hope this may help someone.

Just seeing this message. Had very very similar rattle to what OP describes above. It was driving me crazy and I noticed more rattles starting to pop up. Changed out the stock duratraks to BFG KO2s and no more rattles. None. Ride quality also improved drastically. Rattle started somewhere around 25k miles. You could alternatively try to get a good balance and rotate job done, but improvement may only last a short time. Hope that helps to narrow it down.
