Being in Texas, there isn't a lot of great trails to ride since darn near everything is private land. However, a group of people put together a "Texas Hill Country Trail" that takes a good day or so to drive, depending on your travel speed, with multiple water crossings that can be very scenic and fun to traverse. I broke the drive up into 2 legs since I didn't have time to do the entire route in one trip, doing one leg of the route on my way out to a work site and the other leg of the route on my way back from another work site. Its not a hard route by any means and I only used 4WD twice that I remember, both times because I pulled over and parked in a makeshift ditch to take pictures. Had I stayed on the roadway surface(dirt/rock), I probably never would have needed 4WD. Each leg took about 4 hours when driving at a very comfortable pace with multiple 5 minute stops spread out along the way. I'll attach a GPX file to this thread so anyone who has interest in the route can take a look at it before hand.
