1st post. Started lurking when I bought my boss, 2 weeks ago.

I love my truck. I really do.
But if there is 1 thing that irks me a little bit but consistently, it's the antenna. Beautiful truck, old school antenna. Still dont know how I feel about seeing it flop around in the wind when I'm on the freeway.

Does anyone have any feedback on the aftermarket nubs like Ronin? I saw some reviews on azon that were hit or miss saying you would lose am/fm frequency.

Starting with my 2007, then with my 2011, and now with my 2021 ... I take the thing OFF. Put it under the back seat.

If you still listen to AM and/or FM, well I guess you might want to keep it. But It isn't needed for Sirius, and it isn't needed for music played from my connected phone.

Below is what I have. Still get good am/fm. No issues in car wash.

Thanks for the replies. I'm an old school type of guy who still listens to local sports radio so I do still have the need for AM/FM.

My 6.75in Amazon one works great.
$25 in 8 different colors. I got black

Apparently trucks are the last of the Chevy line to still have a big mast antenna. I recently read the answer why that is the case. A Chevy exec said in an interview "Many of our truck buyers live in rural communities. They need the best reception they can get. So we provide it with the best antenna for reception."

If you want to lose the antenna maybe a banana plug on 10 feet of number 10 primary cable up one of the window pillars, antenna doesn't have to be outside not an actual antenna

I had issues with damaging my garage door seal. So ebay to the rescue.
