They're harder than the soft ones. 🤣

This style.

I have this exact one and after 2 years in the Texas heat the outer cover part shrank and started to peel up. looked nasty. They did replace the whole thing though.

I have the Gator EFX Hard Tri-Fold Truck Bed Tonneau Cover and love it. Only thing I did was buy a tailgate kit to help seal it better.

This is my 2nd BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau and I love them. My first one was on my 2016 RAM 1500. Kind of pricey but worth it. My son liked mine so much that he got one for his F150.

why the poll ? is your simply for looks ? or security ?

i run an old school soft roll up, simply to clean up the appearance, not security. it is simple to move when i need to haul anything tall...the hard covers can be more intrusive to deal with

I agree the soft ones clean up a truck nice, plus they are way more affordable. My only issues with the soft are (and I started with soft tonneau originally on my old Explorer Sport Trac) when it rains or snows heavy the cross bars will bow from the weight, and someone had put a nice cut into it for no reason. I never kept anything of value in the bed at the time. The hard top though more expensive. seemed more practical for me. Plus, I feel better about the added security knowing I can keep something of value overnight in it if need be.

No reason other than to see what is most common and read others' thoughts on them. I prefer the soft tri-fold but that's me.

Was also curious how many people kept the bed open without using a cover at all. So far, that's nobody that has responded to the poll.

Tailgate kit? What does it include?

I've got the Gator ETX soft roll up from Amazon. It's very similar to the Truxedo Lo Pro and in fact, I believe it features some of the same parts as the Lo Pro as Gator and Truxedo are under the same umbrella company (I called Gator for support in the past and the operator answered "Truxedo"). I like the way it mounts inside the rails. I feel it gives it a low profile, cleaner, sleeker look. I had the same one on my 2017 and feel it's a really good value for the money. I will say if I had the means, I'd love to try the BAK Revolver, similar to the one in the video you posted.

i tried the maxtrac this time...amazon find, and appears to be the same quality and build as every truxxedo cover i have owned before....all for 189$

i can replace this numerous times if needed before dropping 600$ plus on any other cover, that would only aggravate me when i needed to remove it
