I absolutely loved my 2020 Trail Boss, but between special GM financing going on with 3.9% along with the dealership accepting my terms on my trade in and giving me a deal on the new truck, it was a deal I just couldn’t pass up, so I’m a proud owner of a 2023 Dark Ash Metallic fully loaded ZR2 as of today.

Enjoy the 15mpg average LOL. That's what I'm getting with my Custom Trail Boss with the 6.2. It's too much fun to romp on!

Looks good! I do really like that color. I’m very fond of my shadow grey but the dark ash on the new ones is 👌🏼

I came from an '18 Tundra and only got 13.8 mpg, so the 6.2L is really no different except for the premium gas and smaller tank. But you are right on the romping on it. I thought the Tundra was torquey, this 6.2 is a beast. Love my truck and would have gotten a ZR2 if I could have. And by the way, 15.4 is good to me!

I was getting 12.5mpg with my 22 ZR2 - traded it for the 2023 TB LT Duramax, and now i get 26 mpg - feels as strong as the 5.3 gas but with wicked commute fuel eco. I travel to work aprox 150km daily - so the added fuel economy is amazing. Yeah, the DEF usage is a bit high when towing - but if I am not towing, I fill it once every month - meh. Worth it IMO.
The ZR2 is DEF sexy af - - and other than fuel eco and the truck sagging when a trailer gets hooked onto it, I would have kept it.
These ZR2's are possibly still my fav looking Chev/GM truck...the dark grey is suuuuuper nice as well! Beauty truck!

I heard the 3.0 Duramax will be an option going forward in the ZR2's, which is a damn good decision by GM! I would trade out my 6.2 Trail Boss for one if it was in my budget lol. I wish that motor was an option in the Colorado's and Canyon's too :(

There was a 3.0 ZR2 on display at Detroit Auto Show last week when I was there.

Under the 2024 Silverado build and price:
ZR2 4WD
Includes ZR2 Suspension Package

3.0L Duramax® Turbo Diesel engine
10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision shift and front bucket seats
MSRP from $71,895

6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine
10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision shift and front bucket seats
MSRP from $73,590

I've had the same thought of doing the same thing bouncing around in my head also. Nice truck!
