Trail Boss owners, this is what tire size should have been on the rig straight from the factory. The 285/65/18 tire for those on an 18” wheel! Just picked up the MT Baja legend EXP. So far no mods to the truck standard trail boss suspension, no rubbing. So far I am pleased with the fit and look.

I’m glad you’re happy with the purchase and they do look good on the truck 👍🏻. I try not to discount what anyone does to their truck, after all it is your truck and your money 😂. Just not sure if the size difference is gonna move the needle for a lot of folks.

Needles! The post was not intended that way. Prior to purchasing these tires was hard to find anyone with this size and fit on an OEM with pics for others to see. I am just sharing here to those that may be interested.

Those are a 1/2” smaller in diameter than my stock 275/60-20 on my 23 TB and only .4” wider.
Not sure I agree with ya, but enjoy.

Girls stuff meat.

Saying a certain size tire should've been OE when it's less than half an inch larger than the OE is always going to invoke criticism.

Keeping basically the stock height but adding some width is good for a stock look. I can see a difference. Does look more meaty.

I can definitely appreciate the information being added to the data set that is this forum, that’s why I joined in the first place. Did not mean to criticize, only share my 2 cents, which isn’t worth much. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I like it, thanks for sharing!

I've got nearly 48K on the factory 18" Durstracs and will be replacing later this year. Been a good tire and they still have decent tread, will probably get another 10K out of em.....just noisy now.

I was hoping to find something just slightly larger and these look like a good fit.

How do you think the Mickey Thompsons compare otherwise, ride, sound and mileage rating?

Hello Spyderwebb, thank you! I have only had these tires on for a short time now. The ride quality is very good. I have not noticed a great deal of noise they ride quiet. They are rated to 50k miles which is pretty good for a hybrid tire like this. I haven’t noticed or really paid attention to see if my gas mileage has changed. The ride is is good probably from being a 2 ply sidewalls. I have seen reviews rate this a 60/40 tire, 60 on road 40 off road. Depending on your needs a 3 ply will be more geared for off road but a 2 ply should be fine. So far they have worked great on wet roads and dry pavement, haven’t been off road yet. There are so many tire options. I just finally had to go with one. I bought my tuck used and it had some aftermarket AT’s the dealer installed and just didn’t look good. Good luck and I am sure you will find a tire you will like. Enjoy the ride!

so with those stock tires on does it look like rims can have 1.5" spacers with no rubbing? looking to switch rims from +25 to -12 (37mm difference) and cautious about rubbing.

I do not know much about spacers. I am sure they could be added but I would definitely talk to a tire or mechanic shop about that. Switching rim may be the way to go.
