I just had my truck into the dealer for the latest software for the radio and wireless charger issues.
The charger is working fine now but the radio still drops audio for the first 2 minutes of starting vehicle.
I only listen to FM for the most part and it seems to drop audio for a second then comes back on but it will do it 2-4 times every key cycle.
Today, it now drops audio completely and will only come back on if I change the channel and go back to the station I was listening too.
Sooo frustrating to say the least. Has anyone had success at having this issue fixed yet?

Common issue, no fix yet but GM knows about it. The cause seems to be all the services starting up competing for CPU cycles which causes things like the radio to drop out. Supposedly this issue is something that Google is supposed to fix but was stated they won’t be able to address till end of ‘23 or early ‘24. Happens no matter what source it is, FM, Sirius, Android Auto, CarPlay, etc…

Thanks for the info!
Let’s hope google actually follows thru!

I have had that happen several times but usually when I'm connected with CarPlay

I have also had the same problem. It has something to do with the Android Audio connection. Havent spoken with the dealer yet, but I will at my first visit.

Mine has also dropped off with no audio. I found if you go to settings and do a reset or do a soft reboot it corrects the problem.

UPDATE
I went Friday to have a new software update done for the radio issue.
Fingers crossed it fixed my issue of the audio dropping out.
I have been driving it all weekend and today with out an issue.
It would always drop out on EVERY key cycle….now on multiple starts,
the radio works as it should.

What was your wireless charger issue? would it be that it connects and starts charging then just stops? Mine is doing that from new just waiting on an appointment to have it looked at.

Pretty much. No case cover on the phone it would charge ( not very fast) then stop.
It would also drain the phone battery more than charging it. The first dealer was going to replace the whole wireless charge Assembly. I took the truck to another dealer and the tech reprogrammed it with the latest software and it has worked fine since.

The reprogramming of these vehicles seems like a problem for gm. There are 2 ways to program. (Wireless or usb) usb it the ONLY way that seems to work. Even though, it can still crash during the reprogram procedure.
