Upgrades to the Boss

I haven’t made a lot of Upgrades to “The Boss” but here are some pics for the ones that I have done
1. Ceramic coated with Ceramic Pro gold Package
2. Installed a Kenwood 710 Ham radio with the mic jack installed in the blank where the brake controller goes
3. Installed my antenna in the stake pocket which was also Black to match everything else on the truck
4. Switched out my Z71 and Trail Boss emblems for Black ones
5. Have ordered Marathon Cordura seat covers in Realtree Max 5 but they won’t be delivered until March

The Trail Boss Emblem I found on the internet and had a local shop that does decals make and install them

How did you run the antenna wire from the CB to the stake pocket?

My Ham Radio has a remote head and the main unit is under the passenger seat. From there I bought some 3/4” rubber plugs from advance auto and drilled a hole in the floorboard to pass the cable through. For the stake pocket I made a 2 piece mount that I made. The bottom piece holds on the bottom of the stake pocket and the top piece covers the stake pocket hole and a PL259 bulkhead connector to go between the 2 pieces. You will also need to run a ground from the bracket to the frame or other suitable ground. I have attached a few other pics to help

I finally got my seat covers a few months ago and installed them but just now getting around to posting the pics. I can say that I am 100% please with them and that Marathon Seat covers are everything they say they are. Also installed a wireless phone charger in the center console that I got from Boost Auto parts.
