What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Painted the hdmi ports flat black. Got to say it would be a-lot easier without the tow package. Was all set up to install the egr rugged flares but have to find out how the front one go on. They have these clips that i can’t figure out for the life of me!

it has been a minute, but the clips were less than desire. i want to say they pushed on, and a small detent tab engaged the flare, then slipped over the fender lip. those do not look like the ones i had.

i do prefer the older trucks with an actual lip and screws.

Thats the way the rear ones work and from what i can tell the older ones as well for the front but not these! Thanks for you time sir!

my thought would be, install the clip pointing into the fender. when you install the flare, it will push past the lip and catch it. ???

I have one of their techs thats going to call me and i will update this. As far as i can tell it only goes one way and can’t do that! Lol i will send more pics later. Thanks again!

Here is the way it can’t go in my mind.
There are 2 screws that hold the fender panel to the fender and this clip is supposed to screw to those holes but appear too short.

The whole that you made a table for is in the correct location now with a spacer. There are 4 of these large clips and 4 screws inside the fender 2 each side that would line up with the slots in the flare so i can only assume it’s the correct location.

Mudflap delete from rough country fit great with the air design flares. Not perfect but darn close enough! Surprised honestly, even tho they said it wouldn’t work. I could get it even closer of a fit with a tiny trim but not bad.

And the cognito leveling kit has arrived. Installing next Thursday (so I guess a not today post).

I took half a day off and installed my new Bora .375 wheel spacers. I also used Coyote Wheel Accessories OEM ET thread lug nuts. I think they are the only place on the planet that makes an ET nut specifically for factory wheels. All the others I’ve seen are for aftermarket wheels. They are a 7/8 nut. I was able to get 11+ turns by hand with them. I feel very comfortable with this set up as a long term spacer solution.

Where did you get the lug nuts from?

Coyote Wheel Accessories. They sell the normal ET lugs for the aftermarket wheels, and these specifically for factory wheels and spacers. SKU: 15K648 is the part number for these particular lugs.
