What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Chrome tips out and powder coated cost me 60 bucks. I know the tips can be taken out without removing the steps but I went ahead and removed them it made it real easy to get to the bolts and weren’t difficult to remove. Little by little I’m getting her the way I want her. I appreciate everyone on the forum for the inspiration and ideas.

Switched the fake wood trim kit out! This is like a grey gradient that fades to black. Looks much better in my opinion! Switched on all doors and on either side of the center console.
Where did you get the trim from?

Today I examined the battery post connections, looking for a good way to connect Cables for a Winch. This is in regards to a winch that is not permanently installed, but installs when needed onto a Receiver either at the front or the rear of the truck.

Was pleased to find considerable extra Threads on the screws that tighten the battery Posts, enough to add a heavy duty spade terminal and another Nut to hold it down. This will be a much better connection than using battery Jumper Cables like my Winch-In-A-Bag came with.

If & when I complete this winch install, I'll also post regarding fabrication of the electrical cable that will be needed; a Cable Set long enough, durable enough and safe to use, for either front or rear winch operation.

(Refer to the "Hidden Winch" thread for links to items needed for an affordable way to add a 9,000 lb capacity winch to your Trail Boss.)

Replaced my custom factory short antenna with a 3” stubby. Also vinyl wrapped my mirror flood lights with a light smoke vinyl.

Drove around remote CO mountains yesterday. We need moisture in some form more than we are getting.

Tell us about your modifications, upgrades, repairs and customizations!
New owner here. Between purchase in December and today I have updated headlights to LED, installed step bars/bed cover both from Tyger, and had muffler deleted.
