What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Picked my Boss up the other day and so far I've installed some stuff. None of what I have requires drilling or warranty voiding other than the seatbelt covers.

In regards to the cold air intake: I LOVE IT. I never drove the stock Boss but I had a 2017 Z71 6.2l Midnight Edition tricked out to hell and this engine performs way better, even with the 4/8 cylinder fuel economy stuff (I'll drop the Pulsar in around 500 miles). No engine lights or codes thrown. It idled rough for a hot minute but then evened out. The tech at the dealership said he loves the feel of the truck.

Parts that I have but I'm waiting to install are...

Overall, I'm in love.

And this… I changed the location of the 6.2L emblem after having my hood repainted from some rock damage.

Had it for two days and today had time to crawl over under and everywhere inspecting quality and fit. As a retired Cummins Chem engineer I am picky. Really stoked about H.O. 2.7L L3B and the 420 ft lbs of tq is amazingly stable at low RPM. I am "older" disabled veteran and wear hearing aids but its so quiet all I could hear was rocks from our mountain roads flinging a bit off the duratracs. Trust me I turn those VA hearing aids up! LOL

Had the front windows tinted to match the back ones.

Just got base level custom TB, more as a tow rig for my wheeling jeep. interested in getting budget type cover and bedliner and under seat(rear) storage any suggestions? Also anything i need to be aware of that are known issues? Been a while as my last rig was a 2007 2500 HD.
Thanks in advance
Im over 7500 miles on my 21' custom TB and no issues. Not hauling anything, got a bakflip m4 bed cover arriving today. Will post pic after install. My bed came with spray liner from dealer.

After taking the badges off originally to put black ones on I rode around with the clean look for a few weeks then decided it looked plain so I stuck the black badges on today. Trying to decide if I want to put black Trail Boss stickers back on the back. I keep changing my mind lol any thoughts?

This is just me…but I think it would look great with charcoal/black Trailboss on the bed. I removed my black/red sticker when I first got mine…but felt it needed something. Went with what I described and it’s perfect for me. Also changes all the chrome emblems to black.

BAKFlip MX4 installed today. I'm pleased with it. See how it does in rain down here in the south.
