What does the Trail Boss package actually include?
Checked the Chevy website and didn’t really find a break down.
Is it simply the box decal and a front & rear 2” lift with the Rancho shocks?

  • Two-inch lift kit
  • Z71 off-roading package
    • Skid plates
    • Hill descent control
    • Off-road suspension
  • Autotrac 2-speed transfer case
  • Trailer Package
  • Red recovery hooks
  • Heavy-duty air filter
  • Automatic locking rear differential

Can look on the build and price section of the Chevy website. Some items that come on the package you can get on other trims, as additional items, some become standard with a Trail Boss. Even more so going from a Custom to an LT Trail Boss. That said, the biggest difference between say a fully loaded RST and fully loaded LT Trail Boss would be the suspension.

Thanks, Guys.
I did go through the build steps but didn’t see what the TB added above the other packages.
Thanks, again.
Pick up my TB next Friday. It’s a custom level trim. Ready to go back to a full size after 11 months in a Colorado.

The custom trim ups you from the standard incandescent tail lights to LED tail lights with the Trail Boss package.

If you are like me I got what I wanted on my TB and ended making it my own with an aftermarket suspension upgrade and don't get me going on the engine. It's very fast and I go anywhere with it off road. Best truck I ever had!

I would like to add that the offroad package is slightly less leaf springs in the rear, and Rancho shocks all around. Due to the fewer leaf springs, towing capacity is slightly reduced from that of a Silverado 1500 without the Trail Boss package. But it's still plenty for anything I ever pull. If it's not enough for you, they are offering the Trail Boss package for HD trucks soon. They already have the ZR2 package available for HD trucks starting this year.

What is your engine?
