This is why I've joined this forum for posts like these!!
I've had two places tell me this is whine is a $4k stator bearing issue or $7k full transmission rebuild.
One was the dealership one was AAMCO, dealership dropped the pan and made their call on the stator bearings, the AAMCO place said he could just hear it.
Going to ask the dealership about this...
