2021 Trail Boss LT
I'm new to this site but love the enthusiasm and information shared.

Here's my "issue" with my 2021 Trail Boss LT. I recently installed Falken Wild Peak AT4 285/70/18 tires and want to widen my stance. I also have wheel flares (not sure what style). I've watched video after video with all sorts of ideas/options. I would really like to not purchase new wheels as I like the original Chevy ones.

With the factory lift, is it better to try something like a 1 & 1/2" wheel spacer all the way around and will that clear all wheel well with the factory lift? I think the 1.5" is just right to match up with the flares. If I add the spacers, do I need to level the front end or is that just a recommended option?

Or ... do I spend the $ and get new wheels with a negative offset? I've heard -6 is good but as much as -12 was also mentioned.

Any thoughts/comments appreciated.

I have 1.5" spacers on my 2025.
I had to cut out a good chunk of the front mud flaps to stop it from rubbing, and at times it still does. But less often and mostly in reverse.
I did not do a leveling kit, left the front end stock.

I have Rough Country SF1 fender flares on my stock height TB with stock 20" wheels and 265/65/20 tires. I run 2" spacers when I run them as winter wheels and don't have any rubbing issues.

I have a 2" level on mine....and RUNNING A 37" TIRE, it is all in the wheel and offset. i did a mudflap delete and very minimal trimming.

I should add that when the fender flares were installed, the mud flaps were taken off.

That makes the difference right there. It was my mud flaps that rubbed and I had to cut.
And I only had to cut a small chunk out on the inside of the flap. I could have cut more because I still have a small rub but only in reverse.
No flares.

You can get away with as little as 1" spacers with OEM 18" wheels. The stock wheel studs will stick out past the spacer a bit, but the recess in the factory wheel is barely deep enough to accommodate them. With 295's this it's not so wide it throws water everywhere when it's raining. It basically makes the OEM 18's a zero offset wheel.

1.5 inch spacers. Plenty of stud length

2021 Trail Boss LT with 2” spacers, stock factory rims, factory lift, no cutting and no rubbing. Gives the truck a nice wide stance

Thank you for your input and for the photos. Just to confirm, are your tires also 275/60 R20?

I had the same flares, removed them and am running 295/70 R18s that are just past the fender well.
