Hello,

I've had the opportunity to get a good deal on winter tires from a family friend and I'm wondering if they'll fit? I have a 21 Trailboss. The winter tires I want to put on are 265/70r17. Will these work, assuming the rims clear?

What issues will I have going to a smaller tire/rim?

Thanks

You need to find 17's with the correct offset and clearance for the ridge on the caliper. You can go with OEM 2019+ steel wheels if you want a guaranteed fit.

whilst we're on the subject, anyone aware of the factory rim offset? i'm looking to replace stock 18's with a deepdish after market rim and wanted to throw each wheel out 1-1.5", just unaware of what aftermarket offset i'd need to search for.

so do i understand correctly that if i install aftermarket rims with a "zero" offset, the tire will be extended pretty much one inch outwards?
If no other factors (rim width, tire size) change, yes. Moving the mounting surface 26mm is approx an inch. I’d refer you to a video previously posted by GETGONE as my understanding of wheel/offset selection is limited at best.
