What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

The interior noise was just too much. Hard to carry on a discussion with the wife at speeds between 50-60... I watched the reviews on youtube and picked the MT Baja's. Do not regret it.
I had those tires on my old RAM, those are awesome tires. Wish I could have swapped those tires for the stock ones that came on my TB, but they were 20" and I have 18's now.

Ready-Lift Leveling Kit, Mickey Thompson's 295/70R18's (had to do some trimming to fit), Mudflap delete, front windows tinted, all cleaned up. That's enough for a while.
I have to remember to get those when the time comes. Had them before and loved them on a previous truck.

So far I’ve done what most have: cold air intake, Pulsar LT, and the JLT 3.0 oil separator. I also swapped out the stock TB decals with some flat black ones.
where did you get the TB Stickers from?

I've been getting ideas from folks on this forum for months and finally pulled the trigger on a few upgrades this weekend. Let me know what you think!

Ready Lift SST +2" Lift Kit
Bilstein 5100's all the way around
20x10 RC wheels (-24 offset) no spacers; cleared the control arms and calipers w/plenty of room to spare
35x12.5x20 Venom Power RT's
Thanks to the RC front bumper, no trimming on the front needed and just did the back fender tuck to clear the back side of the front fender. Full turn with no rubbing.
JLT Oil Catch can
S&B CAI

New tires installed. Duratracs in 285/75r18. This is definitely the size of your these trucks should've come with from the factory. No mods, no cutting, no spacers. Also no rubbing, but i have ordered the McGaughey's splash guard delete kit. It'll arrive by Wednesday. The weight difference of the tires is definitely felt in the steering wheel. Working on the Rough Country speedometer calibrator now. Just received it a few days ago and it looks like somebody had used it previously and returned it. Plastic baggy with the USB cable was torn open and the instructions were folded open.

Update: Because I ordered the Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator through Amazon from the Rough Country store I was able to receive a partial refund of about 20% of the purchase price. I considered this a fair deal and accepted it.

Still got a few miles to put on stock duratracs but I think I just convinced myself this is the size I’m gonna go with when the time comes.

Also, I know for awhile McGaughys was the only option but rough country came out with a delete kit for splash guards as well, few bucks cheaper.

I'm a snob and try to refrain from using Rough Country when I can. I know it's a $50 difference, but I feel Rough Country's quality is low compared to others. Just my opinion. Not hating on anybody that likes their stuff. Different strokes for different folks.

Completely get it. Gotta spend your own money where you see fit. I don’t have either one, just highlighting a new option 👍🏻

Just took the truck for a drive after installing the speedometer calibrator. While out I did hear a very slight rub in the left wheel well when the truck was turned at a specific angle. I do want to note it rained this evening, cooling temperatures outside about 15°F. I don't know if the temps are a factor, but wouldn't be surprised if they are. Nonetheless, I did order the mud flap delete kit this afternoon and Summit is saying I should receive the order tomorrow even though I didn't pay for expedited shipping.

Ordered some Duratracs in 285/75r18 today. I know they get noisy, but data shows they're 35.1" and tied for the lightest weight tire I could find. Due to being cheaper than the other tires that were the same size and weight (both criteria had to be fulfilled) I went with them. Under $1,200 for both. Will be ordering the ReadyLift 2" kit very soon. Seems backwards, but I promise it isn't. Tires will sit in the garage until the kit is installed. Just waiting for 50k miles on the odometer to do everything. At that mileage the lift kit gets installed and the tires too. I spoke to Readylift regarding this tire size and clearing the new UCA. They recommended wheel spacers that are ¼"-½". I went with ½" just to be safe. Hopefully that's small enough to avoid rubbing.

I am considering buying a replica 18" OE wheel and a 5th tire to keep as a spare and run the 5 tire rotation instead of the 4 tire rotation. I have several thousand miles to figure it out before the first tire rotation.

Should I get the Pulsar LT or the RC speedometer calibrator? I'm not looking to shutoff the auto start/stop, cylinder deactivation, etc. Only looking to correct the speedo.

Edit: typo
Tires in the garage. Readylift 2" kit in the garage. Just ordered the Rough Country speedometer calibrator. Waiting on my furniture to arrive from California since my wheel spacers got packed. They're only 1/2". Do I really need them? Tires I have in the garage are Duratracs in 285/75r18. Should I just go ahead and get everything done? Furniture won't be delivered until Aug 7. Living with camping chairs and table, sleeping on camping cots, eating off paper plates with plastic spoons and forks. I feel like I need something to do to keep me distracted.
I installed the 2” SST Ready Lift on my 2022 TB. Put 285/75/r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3w today. Have roughly 1/8”-3/16” space between the UCA and tire. I think I can get away with a 1/4” spacer and should have those installed this coming Friday. You will probably need the spacers, it’s a tight fit even for a 285. I do have a slight rub in the front interior wheel well at full chalk. Hoping the 1/4” spacer will pull it out too.
