Hello,
I have had my 2020 Trail boss for 3 years now! I absolutely love the look, feel and the way it glides down the road. It is my 5th Chevy truck and I have only owned 7 vehicles in my 28 years of driving. I always have a Silverado for my main set of wheels.
Unfortunately last month at ~59,400 miles I had a lifter failure and damaged camshaft as a result. Got the truck back and the catalytic convertor error threw an error within 20 min of drive time, so I took her back that evening.
GM did help with a good chunk of the first $11,000 repair but I am now on a mission to get them to retro-pay my portion for the first repair and cover the cat bill. This DFM engineering problem is terrible. I have never had a silverado really have problems before 100,000 miles. I just want my truck back! It has been over a month now.
I opened a case with Corporate Chevy and send a letter with photos of all my chevys as evidence of brand loyalty. Wish me luck. Send me any tips if you have been successful in a similar situation.
